HAPPY 75th ANNIVERSARY, DRIVE-IN MOVIES!

My apologies for being tardy: It was 75 years ago last weekend that Richard Hollingshead unveiled the first drive-in movie theater in Camden, New Jersey. Click here to find the nearest one to you and make sure to spend some time this summer enjoying this uniquely American (but never unique to America) pop culture innovation. (If you're in Southern California, check out the web site for the Southern California Drive-in Movie Society to check out the drive-in movie treasures practically in your own backyard!

I love that count down film!

Don't forget about that cool double they have at the drive-in this week.
